Bit Zesty thrilled to join the King’s Awards for Enterprise royal reception

Jul 2023

It was an honour to receive an invitation to the Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace, extended by our esteemed client, the King’s Awards for Enterprise (KAE). This grand reception held by HM King Charles III for recipients of The King’s Award for Enterprise brought to light the noteworthy feats of 149 UK businesses, uniting the remarkable victors of the 2022 KAE.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise stand as the pinnacle of recognition for UK businesses, with the objective to celebrate and foster stellar business accomplishments in the fields of Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development, and Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility.

The KAE Royal Reception was a spectacular occasion. The guest list included The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. All of them graciously mingled with the guests. I was privileged to converse with The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and a host of worthy award winners.

Our client, Talking Tables, was awarded the International Trade award this year. We are thrilled to have been a part of their journey. We built custom middleware that connected their ERP systems to numerous Shopify stores, allowing them to serve multiple markets from one backend ERP system.

Bit Zesty embarked on a collaborative journey with the King’s Awards for Enterprise (KAE) seven years ago to devise a new award application and assessment system. Our mission was to create an intuitive and inclusive application and assessment process in strict compliance with Government Digital Service standards. Since then, our partnership with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (who oversee KAE) has grown stronger as we continue maintaining the application and developing new features. You can read more about our work developing the digital service.

We are deeply grateful to our client for inviting us to participate in such an eminent event and engage with the extraordinary King’s Awards for Enterprise award winners and the Royal family members.
