Software development partner for agencies and consultants
Help your clients build, improve and maintain software with a small team of senior specialists. Bring our Ruby on Rails, AI and UX expertise into the work without building a new in-house team.
We are predominantly based in the UK and combine engineering with project management and technical leadership. Start with a client introduction or discuss where we could support your agency’s delivery.
A conversation about your clients, their needs and how we could work together.
When a client needs expertise beyond your team
You might have shaped the strategy, designed the experience or spotted a problem in a business-critical system. We can help with the engineering and the ongoing care that follow.
Ruby on Rails development and support
A client has inherited a Rails application, needs an upgrade or has more work than their developers can take on. Bring in senior engineers for development, project rescue and ongoing maintenance.

Explore our fractional teamHow the referral partnership works
Start with a conversation, then make an introduction when there is a good fit.
Start with a conversation
Tell us about your work and the type of client you want to introduce. We will discuss fit, how we would work together and the partner agreement before you make a referral.
Make the introduction
Introduce a client with a software challenge we can help solve. We discuss their needs, assess the work and put forward a scope. Agreeing responsibilities and client communication is part of that conversation.
Earn a referral fee
When a successful introduction leads to a signed contract, you earn 10% of the initial contract value, excluding VAT. Fees are paid within 30 days after we receive payment from the client.

Questions about partnering with Bit Zesty
Who is the software development referral programme for?
Agencies, consultants, freelancers and industry professionals who know organisations needing software expertise. You might run a design or marketing agency, advise on business change, or help clients make technology decisions.
Can you work alongside an existing agency or development team?
Yes. We can extend an existing team or take responsibility for an agreed piece of software delivery. On the call, we will discuss scope, roles and how to communicate with the client, so the working arrangement is clear before a project begins.
Can I refer a client who needs help with an existing Rails application?
Yes. Referrals can be for Ruby on Rails support, upgrades, project rescue or new development. We start by understanding the application, the immediate risks and what the client needs to change.
How is the referral fee calculated?
The 10% referral fee is calculated based on the total project value (excluding VAT) of the initial contract signed with the referred client. There is no limit to the number of clients you can refer.
When are referral fees paid?
Referral fees are paid within 30 days after we receive payment from the client. For ongoing projects, payments are made as we receive payments from the client.
Have a client or partnership in mind?
Bring the outline of the opportunity. We will talk through the client’s needs, where our team could help and the next step for an introduction.
