Digital prototypes that test your product ideas

Explore a new feature, application or service before committing to a full build. We create interactive software prototypes that help your team test important assumptions with users, compare options and understand which parts of an idea deserve further investment.

How we assure quality

What we can help with

  • Interactive prototypes
  • Wireframes
  • Concept testing
  • Usability testing
  • Technical feasibility experiments

Test the uncertain part first

A convincing presentation does not tell you whether someone can complete a task. An interactive prototype lets people try a proposed journey, reveal misunderstandings and respond to something concrete. It is useful when stakeholders have competing ideas, an unfamiliar workflow needs explaining, or a new feature would be expensive to change after development.

Our prototyping work focuses on digital products and software. We agree what needs testing before choosing the format: a simple wireframe, a clickable interface or a small technical experiment. Detail is added where it helps answer the question, rather than to make an unfinished idea look complete.

Build enough to learn something useful

We map the essential journey, identify the assumptions and decide how feedback will be collected. Designers work with engineers where the proposed interaction depends on data, integrations or technical behaviour.

For a user-facing concept, that might mean testing navigation, terminology and error recovery. For an AI-enabled feature, a separate technical experiment may be needed to examine output quality and human review. A clickable demonstration alone cannot establish whether a model or integration will perform reliably.

You receive the agreed prototype, the reasoning behind it and findings that distinguish observations from assumptions. We discuss what to retain, change or investigate before moving into delivery.

A prototype can expose small but consequential problems

For Trussell, our UX team took prototypes to foodbanks and referral agencies. Testing revealed differences in terminology and showed that some users with lower digital skills did not scroll down the page. Those observations informed the designs before the improved service was delivered.

The lesson was practical: the right test can uncover a barrier that would be easy to miss in a stakeholder review.

Can the prototype become the finished application?

Sometimes experimental code can inform implementation, but that is a decision to review. Prototype shortcuts, example data and simulated integrations may be unsuitable for production. We make those limitations clear so the next stage includes the required engineering, accessibility and operational work.

What follows a successful test?

If the core journey is understood, we can define an MVP or develop the user experience design. If the problem itself remains uncertain, discovery can establish whether the proposed product addresses a real need.
