Bit Zesty shortlisted for London Design Awards in ‘Digital Health’

Sep 2018

We are pleased to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for the DRIVENxDESIGN London Design Awards 2018 for our work with SXT.

DRIVENxDESIGN is a global community of designers, thinkers, strategists, and design lovers. Every year, they host design awards across major international cities (including London, New York, Hong Kong, and Berlin) to recognise and celebrate industry-leading design throughout a range of disciplines.

Our Entry – SXT Digital Sexual Healthcare Services

We have been shortlisted for our work with SXT, a community interest company helping people to access sexual health services.

Our project, ‘SXT Digital Sexual Healthcare Services’ features in the shortlist for ‘Digital – Health’ – a category designed to recognise the digital products and services which are making health information and medical services more accessible to all. Digital Health is a growing sector and one within which design is crucial for creating a great User Experience for patients and clinicians alike and, ultimately, delivering a successful product or service.

What We Did

Our team of UX researchers, designers, developers, and project managers worked with SXT to create a digital Partner Notification service which notifies people that they may be at risk of a sexually transmitted infection (STI). We also developed appointment booking functionality for SXT, matching patients’ needs for an easy-to-use, online service which helps them to locate the most suitable sexual health clinics and book an appointment quickly.

The Impact

SXT’s digital service is currently used by a number of NHS clinics, helping to reduce the spread of STIs, while also freeing up time for sexual health clinic employees. Clinics around the UK are now adopting the service and interest is growing abroad, including in the USA and South Africa. You can read more about how we worked with SXT in our case study.

Since its launch, the SXT Partner Notification service has been used to notify over 7500 partners of patients who have been diagnosed with an STI.

We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award for our transformative work with SXT, and we look forward to seeing the final award results in October!
